They should do fine with the front stock Z32 rotors. you might have to use a softer pad on them though- like Hawk HPS or Axxis MM while you run a light-dutty track pad up front.
worst-case scenario you install brake bias adjusters on the rear lines like I did in the VE.

What pads are you using on your current setup? if you're not boiling the fluid, then you're toasting the pads. might step up to Hawk Black or Blue up front to get you through until you install the Z brakes.

I'm interested too...I gave a deposit late last year. I'll add my name to the list... I have wilwoods in the front. Do you know which rotor/caliper combo I would have to use in the rear? Or would I use the same combo I used in the front in the rear with a brake adjuster valve?

Yeah thats what I was thinking of doing with the 300ZX brakes. Im probally going to run HP+ on the rear with the 9012 blue up front for a track setup. That's one reason im moving towards the 300ZX calipers because of the brake pad selection that's out there.

Last season I was using 4th gen calipers and rotors. Hawk HP+ on the front and HPS on the rear. The front rotors id get from Autozone and end up replacing them every two road course days.

The brakes on the car are getting close to lasting me an entire session because the tracks where im not assigned an instructor the car can go 7~8 laps easily. But with an extra 150~200 pounds of instructor in my car I go about 3~4 laps and then have to run a soft lap to get the brakes back.

So where would I send the payment to and how much would the deposit be?

brackets and lines are $200+ shipping. currently out of stock, but we're working on that right now. hope to have them by the end of the month.

Joe, wait on the deposit until I've got ten people on the list. once I get the ten, then I'll start taking deposits and then get the parts ordered.

the only information I got from that is that you're lazy, but not so lazy that you don't post worthless threads.

So are you in or no? If you have technical questions, I'll be glad to answer them. but ask something worth asking..

If he were to be in, then wouldn't he be more in with the 6th gen group considering he has a SE-R...unless he still has a 4th/5th gen?

Yeah, 6th genners already have better/bigger rotor options in the rear compared to the rest of us.

I think the 6th gens might be able to use a rear 350Z BBK with little modifications. I got my hands on a rear 350Z brake setup and compared to the 6th gen Maximas there isn't much difference. Corporate parts bin sharing FTW.

Yes sir, 350z OEM bigger piston and vented rotor.

Modification=some sort of fabrication that most of us do not have access to.

Not too long ago, a fellow 6th gen member tried the '06 350z front 2POT calipers, but since the rotor is slightly bigger on the 6th gen, it did not seat properly and he got rid of them.

....SO, 300ZX all around ftw
