Mine do the same thing. The buzz is loudest when they first go on and then they get less of a buzz sound as they warm up. I've read that balast will make this sound.

Cool. thanks. I thought I did something wrong. Makes me feel a little better now that I know it's normal.

I noticed on the 9004 bi-xenon bulb that is in fact 2 bulbs in one? Is the smaller one a halogen bulb, and if so, is it the low beam? I'd hate to get the kit and end out with the HID only being the high beam.

If its a bi-xenon bulb, you shouldn't have a small halogen bulb. If you do have the one with the small halogen bulb, then you have the HI/Low bulb where the HID is the low beam, and the halogen bulb is the high beam.

Bi-xenons are $30 more, so if regular kit is $60, then bi-xenon is $90 after discount.

Thanks!

Hello,

I have a 2008 Nissan Maxima. I have the stock Halogen lights currently, and stock halogen fog lights. I was thinking of replacing them/upgrading them to HID. The more research i do, the more confusing it seems to get.

Question 1- So far i believe (please correct me if i'm wrong) i would use 9005 for my Head lights and H11 for my Fog lights.

Question 2- Would i be able to use my Hi/Lo beam if i were to upgrade to HID? (i know there are several kinds single beam, bi-xenon etc.,) this is the part i'm stuck on. Please do explain with the right kind that i could use for my car.

I would highly appreciate this and would be glad to purchase it with your good discount offer. I'm interested in purchasing both Head lights & Fog lights. (my friend also has 06 Maxima, so we should be purchasing 2 head light kit and 2 fog light kit; but i would like the specifcations/clarification for my 08 Maxima mentioned above thanks)

If i get this right does it mean i will need a Total of 3 Kit's (for my 08 Maxima).
2 Ballasts, 2 lights + installation kit = Low Beam lights
2 Ballasts, 2 lights + installation kit = High Beam lights
2 Ballasts, 2 lights + installation kit = Fog lights.

So i will have a total of Six Ballasts to fix/find a spot for under my hood?
how effective are your double sided adhesive tapes?

I have a 2000 Maxima. I am looking to get a kit for my fogs. Should I get the H3 or H3c?? Any problems with fitment, don't want to modify anything to make it work. Also, was looking to get the slim ballast too.

Hi,

You will need three kits if you want to change your low beam, high beam and fogs.

2008 NISSAN Maxima (With halogen capsule headlamps)
Low beam headlamp
9005
High beam headlamp
9005
Fog/Driving light
H11

Since your low beam and high beam are separate you cannot use dual beam kits.

The double sided adhesive pads are pretty strong and zip ties will also be included.

If you want to get all kits, you must enter your transaction separately to get different order #s and input coupon code using express checkout so you can get the $15 off discount each kit. THanks!

Hi,

The bulb type states H3, so you will need just the H3. YOu can go to this link and choose H3 and the color of your choice, don't forget to use the coupon code: fspecial-m to get $15off the online price.

Anyone else having glare problem (00-01)? I keep getting flashed from oncoming motorists thinking my highs are on. I currently have 8k in there now, but got 6k in the mail. The 8k bulbs were way to blue for my taste.

For those of you having glare issues, you may want to point the housing lower to the ground, the best way is to point the light at your garage door first and set a margin , then lower the bulbs to get to that beam cutoff. Most cars don't get this issue but some does and adjusting the cutoff is the best way to prevent the glare, thanks~

I have a 1998 Maxima GLE. Am i reading it correctly that this kit will fit into the stock headlight housing and will not glare even WITHOUT projectors?

Just buy, plug and play?

Yes, that is correct, if your original halogen housing beam cutoff is normal, then our HID will have the similar cutoff point. And our kits are plug and play.

Your bulb type is

1998 NISSAN Maxima
High & low beam headlamp
9004
Fogs
H3

What color would you like for your 9004? I can get you the links to the kit.
Thanks~

i have an 08 maxima as well... you only need 2 kits... one for the fogs and only one for both high and low beam... as far as i know, once you push the stalk for a high beam, its the lens that adjusts to allow more light output....

i only ordered 2 kits... 9005 and h11... i dont think you need a third one... well, thats what i did and my high and low still okay...
