The sizing on the muffler is good, Im sure they use the amount of muffler space they used because it is more easier to run the 2.5 or 3" piping without having to do a 90* bend to get over the rear beam

I'm really interested, 3" with a dual tip sounds sweet (hope the tip will fit on the I30s).

Oh, just saw this, I have some pics of the under carriage of a new 5.5, I can e-mail you if you want.

using pictures to do a whole catback will most likely lead to fitment problems, i personally think a doner 5th or 5.5 will make for better fitment... Question: Why not just follow the same piping used for the 2.5" but with a 3" piping and the dual tip of your choice?...

That's the general plan. We just want to make sure that it will still clear all the corners and bends after the piping is enlarged to 3"

dont see why it shouldnt... 3" fits, it is ran in the same bends and corners... that will probebly be your best best other than a doner.. you guys should look onto doing headers too... fill in where hotshot left off, man business will be like Nasdag and Dow

+1 on this.

My cattman 2.5 looks and sounds awsome, but it looks like its hiding from the world. lol. The tips need to be extended about 2" to 2 1/2" more than the maxima.

I wouldnt mind paying a few extra bucks to make this happen for the i30s.

.................................. I dont see how it shouldnt... both cars use the same system they got the same body except a front bumper and engine... i dont see how that would affect a catback though???

this may sound like a newb question and thats prob. because it is but if i were to get a this exhaust would it fit a stock 5.5? I'm not quite sure what the stock diameter of the exhaust piping is. would i need to get a converter cat? stock on one end and 3" on the other?

Does anyone have a good image of the 3" cattman cat-back installed? We're trying to find the best way to work the piping through the bends close to the muffler.
