I am liking what I am seeing with the new custommaxima. If I hadn't just gotten my 2.5" system, I would be getting this one. If people end up loving it, I will save up the money and get it anyways.

gooodluck with that one... i understand the efforts for perfection and i hope someone is generous enough to not install their anticipated 3" catback system in order to make a less expensive catback system... But like i state before, why not get a doner car who is willing to buy this catback and sell they prototype to them at a discount and use there car as a test car for perfection??? Just saying... there is probebly an orger in every state, n if you was in MD/DC/VA i would be more than willing to let you use my car for this and i pay for a rental car for the week or what not

That's the kind of price I'm looking for.

But can we get it w/o resonator?

It's for the turbo that's going on (eventually haha).

I don't care about the noise, but the neighbors will probably be pissed in the morning
I hear it's already loud inside when I leave with the cattman.

will be judged on

1.fittment-
2.sound-
3.material/design-
4.affordability

if those pass the test.. be preparded to make a few dozen of these.. and if you could get a mock one fabbed up and **test fit on a car with PICS & SOUND CLIPS** then you will have people willing to pay out money.. weeks in advance of the project release... and if that all plays out.. be preparded to make a few dozen of these.. lol

hope this works out

Yes, we will use a Max for test fitting. In order to get the end price down, we're going to invest and buy a large amount of these systems.

Any chance of a 2.5" dual tip muffler cat-back system?

Don't plan on replacing anything in front of the cat or the stock cold air intake (no aftermarket intake worth buying). Performance gains with a 3" would be negligible over a 2.5" other than added weight.

Let me know.

Thanks!

yeah.. you guys would sell ALOT more 2.5" catbacks if you picked up where megan left off..just look how many are currently on back order i was one till i saw that they keep saying only a few more months.. so screw them lol... label the new version V2 2.5" catback and just use a good muffler thats not too loud with dual tips,,for that matter.. if you could do that at that 259 shipped price i would buy one for the heck of it..

Guys, there is a thread for the 2.5" catback for 5th gens.

Here: http://forums.maxima.org/group-deals...9-shipped.html

If you have a problem with the muffler or the tips, weld on a universal and sell the other muffler. It'll still be cheaper than buying a full system. I honestly can't understand how for prices like these you want to complain or beg for options. Consider the price for good piping and flanges and get your choice of muffler elsewhere.

all im saying .. is from a marketing standpoint with total revenue in mind.. in my opinion the maxima community would respond with more sales in the 2.5" catback system if a different muffler was involved.. thats all.. .same reason members are asking for a dual tip 3"..same reason HKS/cattman/Megan make it that way.... ya know? but you are right.. just for the piping the price is outstanding! .. enough on that..lets go 3" !!

Updates would be nice right about now. Like how its going...where we stand...something. Your consumers await a repsonse(it would just show that your putting extra effort out for satisfaction from us).

as the saying goes...your not happy if your girl not happy, same applies.

It's been a total of less than 4 days...patience guys. We waited over a year for the Cattman 3". This project isn't the only project going on with Custom Maxima's business, I assume.
