Did you leave him a voicemail at least stating that you want to be part of the deal (or an email). I don't know whats up with them hardly every answering the phone (it took me all day to get ahold of them too) but I finally did. As long as you have let them know in voicemail or email that you are in on the deal you should be cool I expect. Try them late afternoon like 3-5pm pacific time. I think I got ahold of him at like 4:15pm pacific time, two calls in a row with no problem.

You are the 6th person. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't have gone through. I'm assuming it did.

I'm interested. I'm sorry, but I didn't have time to read 9 pages so I appologize if these questions have been asked/answered already. Before ordering I need to know some more info. I am ONLY interested in this hood for the weight savings.

What exactly does the stock hood weigh and what does the CF hood weigh?

Is it paintable?

Can we still use the stock shocks?

Is it a 1000% PERFECT fit? Matches up to the fenders perfectly?

Are they still available without windshield squirter holes pre-drilled?

Thanks guys.

According the Chestons site (www.maximadriver.com) it weighs 13lbs (less than half the original which I don't know)

It's like fiberglass and I am planning to paint it to match me beige color.

Can't use stock hood struts.

After seeing Carnal_30's car... it looks like a perfect fit (after adjusting the latch to take out some slack)

They don't come drilled out for the washer squirters.

Contact Mike at www.motivational.net to see if you can get yourself in if he hasn't placed our order yet... now!

Yeah, I read that too. I beleive the 13 lb but I can't beleive our stock hoods only weigh 26lb. So I need to know the exact weight of the stock hood before buying. Like I said, I am only doing this for the weight savings (and to shave the windsheild squirters). Now's a great time as I plan to get some paint work done soon. But $500 is a lot to spend to save 13 lb.

You should be able to... with precautions. Check Cheston's site... I think you need to wear a mask to keep from breathing in the fibers but it shouldn't be difficult..

I gonna look into getting the nozzles that mount under the back lip of the hood... Like the 90 integras.

Here's who (first names only) is on the list that ordered the CF hoods:

NEAL
CHUNG
DAN
ALEX
MICHAEL
MATTHEL

Yikes. 26 lbs. I was stoked on the 50 lb figure.

Each drop in 100lb is .15s off your 1/4 so that means the hood will give you 0.04 s off. Ouch. I'm a big believer of 'every little bit counts' but that's a lot of dough for 26 lbs. I still have to think about it. Good luck guys.

P.s. Let me know if you figure out the squirter relocation and if you guys can figure out a way to use your oem shock lifts. Thanks.

Well I haven't weighed my stock hood but if Cheston says that its only 40-something lbs I'll believe that. I was under the impression it was more. Ptatohed every little bit helps though right? You take out that, plus your front seat and spare and jack and theres a 100lb weight reduction. Plus it has other benefits like handling improvement.

98_Maxima you are too late dude. The order has already been sent in. Try contacting motivational and asking them, but I doubt you can get in since they've already sent in our order.

When are they going to charge us just wondering. Once I see the charge I'll now for sure the orders in. Then I can start the countdown.

As I understand it we are being charged the day they put the order in, which was a few days ago, so it should already be on our CCs I would think.

If you gave him your CC information you were in... if not..then no. I listed who were the 6 people he emailed to me when he order... check that list.

Mike doesn't (at least as far as I know) cruize this forum.

Mike doesn't work for Fiber Images, so he has no way to know how many hoods they had to make before they start making the ones for our group deal. They can make 3 hoods in 2 weeks so that gives you some idea of the timeframe it takes to create CF hoods.

I just got my baby roughed up a bit and need a new hood. I am definately all about getting this hood, does anyone know what the price diference in price is compared to stock? I'm guessing stock is more because it usually is. I just wnt to get away with letting insurance pay for it.

Yeah, I have seen them drop a tire on it and run over it with a car. That doesn't answer my question though. My question was: is it safe in a frontal impact collision?

I definately want in if you can wait till friday to close it out.
Two questions. Do you leave them on in the winter/snow or will it get ****ed up? Has anyone put their washer nozzles on? If no, what did you do just not have them anymore?
