Hey everyone, I know Ian personally, and I'm also in on this group deal. I know he is trying hard with this guy, but communicating with someone 12,000 miles away is not easy. Cut him some slack, and we'll all have our MEVI's soon...

Yeah I understand. Communication is hard enough let alone with someone who dosent even really speak English.

Thanks for the support, Matt.

Also, remember this is the first large order with this guy, and it's run into snags. The 2nd Deal won't have nearly this many problems.

Really, the majority of the problems came from his supplier. He has assured me that this has been fixed, and it won't happen again.

I know Ian is doing alot for us that are in this group deal and I thank him for that. But it worries me that the supplier received the rest of the money on the 11th and 8 days later he says that he has not shipped them out and wont/can't for a couple more days. Something isn't right if he supposedly has all of the parts.

Sometimes stuff just happens. Like he had something come up or got stuck at work etc. Or also depending on what is the "weekend" setup over there. Maybe like here how on a Sunday not much is open and on Saturday some places close earlier. It happens. I am sure things will fall into place shortly.

FINALLY He's shipping them.

Message from him:

hello Ian,
we are going to send spares today.
if anything more kindly advise as earliest.

With regards

Thank GOD!!!

I told him that if it takes this long again, my business is gone, and I will stop doing these deals. He assures me that things like this won't happen again.

Let's hope not.

But the good news is they'll be here in a few days.

Uh, no ,he's not using FedEx or UPS. It owuld cost hundreds more to ship using them. He is using Air Freight and should be sending me a scanned copy of the shipping invoice this evening.

hehe using FedEx or even worse UPS would make this GD finish out at about 800 - 900 just because of the shipping cost. Glad to see it is on the way, this is great news. Now I just got to figure out when Harlan is sending me my switch and things will all be coming together nicely. Cant wait for the cover either. This is great.

Harlan still has not sent you your switch? Me either. I ordered mine on 10/1/02. They took the money from my CC but I still have not got anything?

i sent an e-mail yesterday, nothing back yet but it was last night. Try sending him one too, sometimes getting a few e-mails gets people motivated since they dont want to lose customers.

There was a post a week or so ago saying Harlan was taking a business trip in October. Maybe he's away...

If you want in now, then send me mail and I can attach you to the 2nd GD.

It's already in the works.

read my webpage (Assuming it's up, my ISP's been giving me issues lately)

www.cyberhub.net

Leave mail to the E-Mail on that web page if you're interested with you real name, screen name, and address.

Update -

They should be here anytime now.

I'm going to call the Air Shipper today and see if I can't track them.

#@$@%

Well, my Day-Shift guy got the flu and went home early.

I have to work 7am-7pm today, and customs is only open from 8:30-4:30.

So hopefully he won't call in sick tomorrow, and I can get them then.

Sorry about that guys.

It seems that fortune has been against me lately.

He just called in sick for tomorrow.

*sigh* - Sorry guys - looks like it will be Thursday - There's someone else working the shift that half of the week, so all should be fine.

Sounds like they work you pretty hard. I how that is. Sometimes I work a 80 hour week. (On a salary w/o overtime pay)

How are you gonna be shipping them?

There's a 24x7 Network operations Center I'm the Lead of.

If a graveyard guy goes on vacation - I have to cover
If a Day guy gets sick - I have to cover.

All summer I've been switching back and forth from graveyard to days - It's been pretty bad on my health. If the stock hadn't gone up 300% since last year, I'd quit.

Anyway - UPS probably. I have to check on pricing between them and Airborne/FedEx.

Alrighty - I'll be picking them up in the AM, and hopefully have all the screws/nuts/assembly done on Saturday - I will be shipping on Monday - Hopefully you will all have them between Wed-Friday of next week.

of course, they all ship with a free MAP/Baro switch (or Solenoid, depending on what you call it) - So don't buy one.

Just to verify one last time - These are the people I am shipping to:

toolrocks
JustMaxin
Iron Lung
Prodeje79
SuDZ - Moved up from 2nd GD
PhatBastard - Moved up from 2nd GD
MAXINXS - Moved from 2nd GD

And these are the people who are local and picking it up:
(You can come get it this Saturday)

mrb23 - (I'll help you install it if you want)
mtrai760 - Moved up from 2nd GD (You know I'm helping you install it already)

So I have everyone correctly? Anyone I missed or screwed up somehow?

Thanks!

The problem is I've got copies of all the checks with addresses, but I keep getting the screennames confused with who is exactly who.

So everyone send me mail at cyberoptik@cablespeed.com with Screen Name, Real Name, and where you want me to ship it to - just for the sake of double checking.

heh - Pretty funny - I don't take offense. It was the first time doing a large deal with my supplier, and a japanese Holiday didn't help much.

You guys have all been very cool about it.
