Hey answer me this, are weapon R intakes like stillens were its just a pop charger, and a cone? Or are they really nice, like the honda boys after market intaks are, with piping and cone? you wouldent happen to have a picture of what a weapon R intake looks for a maxima would ya?

it's the piping and the filter here it is on my 02 max it will be similiar

I really like it, if it looks like that for a 4th generation maxima, u can count me in, how do u like it, feel any power from it...I have a still intake but i want somthing more showy, i was wounderin, do u know with the Weapon R piping, can a reguler cone filter be installed on it, im not so crzy about the foam filters that come with the weapon Rs

if u don't like the foam one i can hook u up with this filter it's called the matrix it's actually the one i have on my car now. it's a heatsheild type

 

How much for just the piping?

 

They appear to come in different colors. If so, what are the colors?

 

red,blue, chrome, purple, yellow

 

ugly purple or nice purple

 

to be honest i haven't seen the purple

I got a few question 4 u.What exactly is that small filter at the bottom left of the pic?what exactly does it do?And who do u plan on getting da GD with?TEAM SUNRISE?I've heard shady things about them.

I just ordered off of a group deal with Team Sunrise. I'll let you know how it goes, I just paid this week. If I don't like the foam filter I'm gonna adapt a K&N to it. I'll post some pics once it's installed.

 

To answer you question, on what is that small filter on the bottom left of the picture.... its not my car, or my picture, but i know what it is , and since he hasent answered it, i will.... its called a "Breather" when you get a intake, one with piping, the hose that went there before cant attach it self to the intake....what that thing is doing is sucking in air, to cool the oil, if you look at your intake, you will see a big black hose from your engion to your intake, sucking the air your intake is getting....well say you replace your intake with aftermarket piping, that hose has no were to attach it self to , so you just take the whole think off and put on a little fuilter like u see in the picture called a breather, and then that way , when it sucks in air to cool the oil, it will be filtered and clean.... I hoped that helped

This is what it looks like on a 4th Gen... I was initially thinking about getting one of these, but am still thinking about it... If we decide to keep the Max another 6 years or so, then i'm gonna go with the PR Cold Air, but if not, this is a nice looking kit... From what i hear it gives slightly less power than the PR Cold Air, but no drilling required and it's a lot easier to install

 

Anyone know if this intake will reduces my HP on the low end on my automatic 4th Gen? I've heard this can happen with some air intakes/

 

Don't know specifically about the Weapon R, but a HAI will... If you want to gain all around, go with a PR or Warpspeed CAI... the only drawback is cost, installation and the fact that it requires drilling a hole in the fenderwall
