Thanks for catching me

I decided to get springs and new struts\shocks after I almost lost it a few times on the Austin meet cruise. Twisty hill passes with a lot of blind curves and jran76 leading the back (he's lowered so he was taking turns pretty quick).

Please be a little patient. I just decided to take the initiative today. Paul at Avalon Racing emailed me back. When I emailed him this morning we had 6 people on the list. He quoted $185 + shipping for 6 confirmed. I replied asking for the price for 15 confirmed. I will let you know his reply as soon as I get it.

If you could get it for lower than $185, I'd be game.

Shipped for $207

Here is the deal. $185 + $22 shipping = $207 total....

I need to assemble a list of all the names of people who in for this deal. Once Avalon has the list then each one of us needs to call and order ourselves. He said he prefers paypal for the group payments.

Please email me your name and the year of your Maxima ASAP if you are in. Thanks.

See if you can get a better deal on shipping. I don't need mine right away, so could he ship them UPS ground and reduce the shipping charge?

Probably a few of the people are turned off by the high shipping charge. After you factor that in it's above the "$200 shipped" break point that everyone signed up for. Now, I'm not going to gripe about the $7 difference because this is still the best deal I've seen but I am a little dissappointed, especially when tirerack S&H was only $11. It would be better if it was $185 + actual S&H, not a flat fee.

As I was looking back at the beginning of the thread, I noticed that Avalon posted that they would be under $200, but he didn't mention that the price included shipping.

He said that with 15 buyers he could reduce the shipping charges and that $22 was reduced. I will email him again and point out the lower shipping charges else where and see what I can do. $207 shipped is still the best price I have seen for H&R's.

Everyone... that posted said "under $200 shipped, I'm in..
So, I think that's where all the hold outs are. I for one might just wait if it's not a killer deal. But if it is a killer deal I have no choice but to buy now even if I'm not ready to install right away.

Result of last email

Shipping from Avalon (New Hampshire) to West Coast(he specifically mentionioned California) will be $22. To New York, New Jersey, $13 shipping.

Final Verdict $185 + $13-$22 shipping = $198 - $207 shipped depending on where you live.

Everybody who has already emailed me your info for the earlier $207 price I am assuming you are in unless you already told me otherwise. Everyone else please mail me ASAP so I can get the list to Avalon and we can all get our springs.

east side

by New York, and Jersey, does the shipper mean the east coast? Will I be getting the $13 price down here in VA?

He didn't specifiy. I would call the guy at Avalon but he is currently out of town. I believe the shipping will go up the farther the distance. When I worked in the shipping department for JL Audio the rates were based on weight and distance. If I remeber correctly the US was broken up into Zones. The more you crossed the more it costs.

For you T-Bone it will definitely be closer to the $13 than the $22 so that is much better than paying the $22.

Awesome!

Now for some basic questions...

When do we call?
Who do we call? Number?
How quickly can they ship (in stock)?

I'm so excited.

I am going to give the people who haven't replied today to do so. I hope only having 10 instead of 15 won't effect anything. Tomorrrow I will email the list to Avalon. Once I get the word to GO I will let you know.

Re: List Status Update

I am on the road and rqacing at Lime Rock next weekend. I will be in the office on Monday. Average shipping is between $13.00 on the east coast and up to $22.00 to the West Coast. Thisis a very heavy box of about $30.00 lbs.
