They are going to send me one as soon as it's ready !

Grille-Tech sent me back an email saying that the main grille for the 2k2 should be ready in 4-5 weeks. I can't wait.

Go for another GD kloogy!

Sounds good...definitely keep me/us posted. If you could swing a new GD for the main grille and lower valence together, that would be awesome!

Well I couldn't wait, so I bought the lower valence grille today. I guess I just need to wait on the main grille now! Can't wait...

Question For Kloggy

Question...How is $49 a group deal price. Not for nothin, but I got my grill from them and just told them I was a MAxima.Org member and they shipped it to me for $49 dollars. If you talked to someone over at grille-tech don't you think they should have given you a better price then $49? I mean heck, if you are getting them all this business I would think they would sell it a little cheaper.

That's what makes it a group deal, otherwise IIRC the grill costs $70. Even on E-Bay it doesn't go that low.

You are right. It will cost you 80+ on ebay, and online. There are ORG members that paid that much before I hooked it up. Yes it's still on. They are still working on the main grille for the 2K2-3... they are going to send me one as soon as its done.. I will keep you guys posted !

Well I got my grille today. I bought it used, no instructions included. It looks fairly straightforward, but I had a couple questions for those that have purchased it new.

How many zipties came with the grille?
How many zipties did you use to install it, and where did you put them?

Thanks for your help!

It depends on whether or not you've got a GXE or an SE. I've got an SE (and a charcoal grey Max), so I'm gonna go for the black one...

I only used 2 per side to keep the number of black spots down. With just the two, and the quality fabrication, the grille stayes right in its place.

I put two per grill on one on each side in the middle next to the rubber. Those grills set right in and stayed there, the ties just keeps it from falling out. Very easy installation.

Sorry, I should've been more specific. I have a 2002 SE, which has the two split grilles on the lower valence.

So going back to my original questions: How many zipties came with the grilles? How many did you use to install it, and where did you put them?

I'm not sure how many - more than I needed. I put 3 on each side.
2 on the top of each grille and 1 in the middle of each grill. I got the silver ones so I took some silver model paint (w/black mixed in to tone it down) an touched up the zip pieces showing.

Hint: best to run the zip tie from inside of the grill to out and back in the grill so only the smallest piece shows outside the car and make sure you have the tie flipped to the correct side to pull through tight.

Well I got the grille on already, looks pretty good IMO. It fit pretty good, so thanks 00Max for that. Now just gotta wait to see how that 2002 main grille turns out...

I'd like to keep the Nissan emblem on the outside of the main grille if possible.

If I don't do a main grille, I'll at least paint it body color!

Kloogy did they ask you for any input for designing the main grille? I would really like to see one that would fit in between the bars on the stock grille. The gunmetal color matches my new gunmetal rims I don't really like the ones that replace the whole thing. It leaves you with a huge mesh opening on our 02-03's...

i am very impressed with the insert for my 89. the zip ties are pretty gay but other than that it only took a little brain power to get around using them. all in all i probably invested 2 hours going to the store, cutting with the dremel, glueing and ending up with a pretty damn tight grille.
