I traded my 96 I30t 5spd two years ago when it had 106k. The engine still run like new but my advice is don't put thin synthetic oil if you have alot of miles.

Do you have both the VI and ECU on the car yet?

I think mine will be the one with more miles here ! 125K + and still going very strong ! I can beat any HONDA with half miles with no doubt !

Nope, just the ECU, I'm not sure what is going on with the MEVI right now, I'm afriad I may have been screwed out of $700, but at least the ECU is nice for now.

I assume you orderd from Cranman or Iansaw(sp?) I have not heard of anyone having problems with them.

Did you read the post by nealoc187, he used his car-test software, which is pretty accurate, with the addition of raised rev limiter and MEVI. He saw almost a half second decrease in ET and 4mph gain in trap speed!!!

I think that if the oil has been changed religiously before changing to synthetic, it isn't too bad. I put amsoil in a newer car with 50k miles that hadn't had regular oil changes, and ended up with some major oil leaks. This is fairly common too.
