Bad gas milage, hard starting, and rough idle, need help!

Alright guys, i've done a lot of reasearch in the forums to try to correct my problems but nothings worked so far. Heres the deal, I have a 1998 Infiniti I30. In the morning after the car sits for a while and I go to crank it, it takes a couple of turns before it starts. I also get poor gas milage, less then 19 mpg on combined city/highway driving. When my car is warmed up and in gear, it has a rough idle. The car has about 68k miles on it. I have just changed the spark plugs, air filter, and cleaned out the throttle body to no avail. I've also tried to adjust the fast idle adjustment which helped a little, but still did not fix the problem. I have no check engine lights on, i've skanned the ecu for fault codes and I have nothing. Anyone have any ideas? Maybe a fuel filter? Maybe a bad coil pack? I dont really know where to go with this, your help would be appreciated.

Hmmm.... I had similar symptoms besides the hard starting. I changed PCV valve, cleaned TB and fuel filter which solved my problem. So I would go with the the fuel filter and check your gapping on the plugs.
If you don't get it solved post this in the 4th gen fourm you may get more ideas.

this could be a good start...

It seems as if you've taken all the right steps to fix it except for changing the fuel filter and what our moderator said! Good luck!

Yeah my car does almost the same thing. After the infiniti dealer flushed the tranny it came back jumping real hard out of first into second, and it has a real rough idle. when I hold the steering wheel my arm absorbs the vibration but when I let off the wheel my car shakes and then resumes the rough idle. When I put it in neutral all the vibration stops so this probably has nothing to do with the y-pipe even though that's what the mechanic at the dealer will try to tell me like the time he told me about how the stock y-pipe is perfectly balanced, blah, blah... My car only has 62k on it and I try not to abuse it too bad so is this the dealers fault? What's their policy with handing out new transmissions? I know its probably something minor so with my luck they'll blame it on me somehow and charge me for the repairs. Oh yeah, while I'm at it does anyone know why my gas padal is vibrating a lot around or over 3000 rpm usually under a load? I just hate taking my car to the dealer, it seems like everytime it goes there for something, it comes back with something else wrong.
