HEllo and welcome to the board. As for at the franken car, you won't notice much of a difference at all powerformance-wise. The only difference I could tell when I put mine on was the difference in sound at WOT. If you really want a mod where you can feel a difference I would suggest going with a y-pipe. Goto www.budgetexhaust.com, they offer a t304 SS pipe for ~160US dollars w/ shipping. If you are interested in obtaining an intake for your vehicle, I have found rvmracing to be the most economical.
Hope some of this helps

Yhea, I would couple an intake with a y-pipe and you'll shave .4 off your 1/4 mile(so yes you will feel it). An intake alone will make you think your faster, but in reality you will just be picking up a couple extra ponies. A Y-pipe w/o a cat back is not loud at all, basically just like stock.

RVM?? Don't they make the UDP thats fukcing up everyones car.

RVM they suck ****. don't buy things from company that can't stand behind their product!!!!

ohh ya frankencar intake sure makes good sound at WOT
but i agree about the y pipe it's the best performance mod that u can do for just bolt on and $...

I have the frankencar, y-pipe and cat, and when I floor it I can definately feel the difference. At idle it's very quiet, which I like. I Used to have just the intake, and my 1/4 was .5 faster than the best mag time i've seen. Then again I haven't raced it stock. I think it is worth it, especially on the high-end where it really shines compared to the CAI.

And when you floor it, you scare the ish out of people

What was your 60' on your 15.3 run? I would think the Y-pipe would help a little more than .2.
I gained a full second with lighter wheels and a Y-pipe.

Wow I just realized that my 60' times for both runs are practically identical. I spun heavily off of the 15.3 launch.

Your car has a 15 flat in it, just work on the launch.

Being that you have an auto there is not a whole lot to do. For me it was all in my tire pressure. I did not start getting low 2.2's untill I went down to less than 20psi. It seemed dangerous to go that low, but that is what did it for me. Just make sure you bring the pressure back up before you do any regular driving.

for some reason i didnt notice any noticeable differences with the budget y and the frankencar...however, this could be possible for one of two reasons:
1.) after the y was installed, it "sounded" like there was a leak...but when i drove back to budget, they said there was nothing they could hear. the possible leak could be robbing the power...i hear a typical exhaust leak type noise when the rpms are coming back down from revving it in park.
2.) havent driven the car for four months before putting on the mods...maybe i forgot how the car drives...??

otherwise, i love the noise it makes at WOT...as someone mentioned it really DOES scare people since its SO loud.
