i30t headlight alighment?

Anyone know how to do this? Drivers side is ....well too low ...and i need to bring it up a lil.. you can see more gap between the headlight unit and the hood than on the passenger side..and when i drive at night u can tell they're uneven... I can't find any screws or whatnot to turn to adjust them....any ideas?

Edmond OK, lived there for 8 years.

I am sure there are adjustment screws behind the headlamp under the hood. there should be one for Rt to Lft and one for up and down.

I've lived there for 7 , Oklahoma for 20...

Anywho.. I'm stumped as to the adjustment screws... I must be blind or something, but I only see the clip on the bottom of the lights, and the 2 bolts that bolt the top to the frame... You can see a larger gap on my right lense compared to my left one, and when u drive...blah... I just wanna find the adjustment screws!!!! Hey mike u got any pics??

I have never actually seen the adjustment screws on the 00+ I30's, I am just making an educated guess. I am sure they are there. You need to look further back, you may have to take off a small metal panel to get to them.....

Would some one with an 00+ I30 help this guy out!

look in the two links I provided. Describes where the adjustmetn screw is. All you needed to do was search the 5th gen forum, it took me 1 minute to find this.

Ohhh..but yours is specific :/...

Anyways, I tried the ratchet trick, and yes it works! It moves the bulb to change the angle at which it reflects.... Now if I could only find a way to adjust the angle of the high beams too..... I need to wait until tonight to adjust the lowbeams on the road... Thanks for the help guys!

One more thing...

So I noticed those white ratchet nuts are really easy to rotate with a ratchet... It seems they change the angle of the bulb in relation to the reflector, thereby changing the beam angle... It's really cool...but I was wondering if there was some way to wire a solenoid or motor to it, and control the beam angle from the drivers seat? Lower and raise the beam as you drive and stuff.. I notice you can do this on the FX35/45....lower and raise the headlights...and it seems almost through the method I just described, because the headlights themselves don't physically move... It just seems like a cool project idea...

BTW, I adjusted the headlights and tonight was the first night I got to try it out on a dry, dark road... I can see 2x farther now, and with high beams on I can see forever and ever...lol
Thanks guys

In europe, police can stop you and ticket you for blinding headlights, this is the reason why more expensive cars are factory equiped with in-cabin headlight lowering adjustment so you wont blind anyone when your trunk is full of groceries . I had 3 cars and all had this function altho all were mechanical, not electrical.... but it was back in early 90s

In US, almost every other car blinds you and police does not seem to care at all...

regards, Bart.
