I've had this problem a few times. I know you can get to the diagnostics mode by pressing the driver-side door trigger 5 times within 10 seconds once you put the key in the on position. You'll be able to get the trouble code that way, but I can't remember where i got the code representation from. Do this first, check underneath both front seats and see if the wires are crimped or bent in anyway and jiggle them around alitte. This is the leading cause for false air bag lights on the A32s; I also had this issue. Anything dealing with the air bags will have either yellow loom, tape, or connectors (industry standard). hope that helps.

$145???? thats insane........if you look back a few posts i had (have) this same problem but my dealer told me the problem for free..i drove in there they hooked up there diagnostic tool and in about 2 minutes told me it was a problem with the passenger side side impact airbag. about 99.9% chances it was a bad connector and they could get me a new one for about $200 i think. there is a TSB on this and had my car been under warrenty it woulda been done for free. but take a look back to that thread it was most helpful.

Also anyone know a way to clear this code? without an OBD II scanner?

thanks

just turn key on hit the door button 5 times within 7 sec (black button located on the door sill) sequence will flash turn ignition off and then back on and then repeat
this should do it unless there is a real problem (like with mine)
