which H4 bulb (not HID) is the best

I just purchased a set of one piece cefiro headlights. I am wondering which bulb is the best and brightest (WITHOUT HID). I have no clue. I saw a thread where someone said to get a good bulb. What is a good H4 bulb?

check out the PIAA H4 light bulbs. if you want a HID purple look then take a look at the PIAA GTX4 500K H4 bulbs. if you want more of the HID blue look then go for the PIAA Spark Blue bulbs at 7500K. they are both expensive bulbs but they are the best and last the longest

Agreed, Philips VisionPlus or Osram Silver Star (not Sylvania SilverStar)

The Sylvania SilverStar is a purple-ish/blue coated bulb designed more for appearance and not as bright as the clear bulb Osram Silver Star designed for performance.

I'm in a similar situation as well. I wanna get a new set of bulbs. I was looking at Sylvania SilverStar 9005. But on the car manual, it suggests putting 9004 bulbs.

Do I need to put something to go along with 9005s or can I just install them as is?

Thanks.

Uh... 9005 and 9004 are TOTALLY different bulbs.... If it says H4 get H4, if it says 9005 get 9005.. You cant exactly mix and match the two without modifying your housing and harness..which is hardly worth the effort or risk.

I'd personally just get on ebay and get a cheap HID kit, because after a few blown PIAA's, you'll easily make up the cost....
