I'm a newb on this site, i have a 96 I-30t (white/black leather) and i love that car. One thing i have a prob with is the steering wheel, the top part of it is pealing (leather wrapped) and i really want to find a 98/99 I-30 Steering Wheel *prefer* black leather wrapped. If anyone knows where i could find one, please let me know. I'm in the process of finding parts for the back end so i can make it look like a 98/99 I-30 and also trying to find a 99 Bose Stereo to replace my current one with. If anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

Its a good idea man, but the only problem is the steering wheels are different and subsiquently the airbag for your 96 wouldnt fit a 98-99. You can either look for the same replacement, put a leather cover over it, or contact sycefiro to get a wood steering wheel for the 96 of the jdm car.

 

more to it, the hole thing behinde the wheel - like switches, spiral cable, etc. - are different too.
