I'm glad someone posted this image because it gives me a chance to ask a question that has been bothering me for a while. What is the little red light looking thing to the left of the mirror control. It looks like a light but I've never seen it turn on and its not a button so I dont know. Any ideas?

 

Hmmm...I don't have that light. Almost looks aftermarket, like someone drilled a hole in the blank and inserted an LED in there.

My guess would be something like a security LED, but it'd have to be aftermarket, seeing as my security LED looks different and (I think) is on a different place on the dash.

 

Well, I didnt take the photo. So someone else must have the same thing as me. So hopefully they'll know what it is

Any chance it could be a remote start? If I pop the hood, there is a sticker along the front that says "this car is equipped with remote start" or something along the lines of that. I never got a remote for the remote start so I guess I'll never find out. I guess I could take it to Circuit City or something and see what they have to say.

 

I have one of those little lights as well. Mine is for an aftermarket Viper alarm. This little light blinks red when the alarm is armed. Maybe someone who had the car before you had an aftermarket alarm installed but removed the alarm later and just left the light there.
