2000-2001 Gas Pedal (?)

check the pic, and notice the plastic object that I high lighted,

do you got this thing in your 2000-2001 Infiniti ?

some people told me that this is only comes in newer Infiniti, and it's there so the gas pedal isn't pressed all the way, in order not to get the ful power.

Thanks,

Thanks,
I think everyone has it, mine does, it stops the gas pedal from being pressed down all the way through the bottom of the car, it probably prevents a person from snapping off the throtle cable, if you need to tighten your cable you can do it in the front of the engine.

I thought 00-01+ models were fly-by-wire throttle? If so, there would be no wire in the engine bay would there? It should be purely electrical? Or am i wrong...someone clarify this for me.

I have a 2000 I30T, a 2001 is the same as 2000. If you pop open your hood, and have the engine running, you'll see two wire on the top of your engine, one is for the throttle, the other for the cruise control I think.

I think fly-by-wire was on the new I35's.
