A few important questions....

Ya ya, I know this is what the FAQ's are for, but I am not having any luck finding the answers in there. I am seriously considering, if not really close to, buying a 2000 pearl I30t down in Dallas this weekend and had several important questions before I get into anything.

1. Is there any way to improve the look of the exhaust without having to buy one of those huge, bloated tips? For example, something such as the tips of the I35 exhaust.

2. What air intake would you suggest for install for smooth power gains?

3. How hard and how expensive would it be to find an I35 grille and switch it with the 2000's? I really like the newer Infiniti grilles.

Thanks for all the help guys, I really appreciate it.

Get a I35 muffler. it may take some a little custome welding, I really don't know but it should fit fairly easily.

Get a CAI, or an injen if your worried about hydro lock.

If the grilles are interchangeable, then you can get a grill from an Infiniti online store or ebay. The dealer will rape you for one.

Thanks, Mike. I saw a 2001 with an I35 grille on auto trader and it looked really good. Any idea as to how hard it would be to remove and install? I am a much bigger fan of the big Infiniti logo as opposed to the smaller one on the 30's.
Also, how tough is the install of the air intake on the VQ.....I installed an intake on my 98 Tahoe fairly easily but the Injen looks quite more complicated from the pictures on their website. I take it that the intake for the 2000 Maxima will fit the I30?

The exhaust on the 35's is much more impressive than that of the 30's. That would be about as much as I am looking for -- something that comes straight out the back end with two classy tips such as the 35's.

Intake installs are real easy. The most time consuming part is removing the stock piping.

All mods (except some appearance mods like front lips or grilles) will fit. All suspension, engine and exhaust are the same.
