Infinity I30/35 ECU
Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and to owning an I35. I have been talking with Danny at technosquare about an ECU for the I35. He told me he thinks it is very similar to the Maxima and he needs to check the factory service manuals to see how close they are to each other. If this sounds interesting too you maybe you could e-mail him at technosquare and let him know of your interest. (www.technosquareinc.com)
I am really enjoying this car.Now I know what all your enthusiasm is about, and why there all these nissan/infinity forums. My wife thinks I am going through my second childhood,(55 y-old,y-pipe,cat back exhuast,CAI,f-tower bar,r-stabilizer bar, and if I can help make it happen a performance ECU) Have a good Christmas.

I used an 98 maxima auto ECU in my 96 I30 5spd and the car ran fine. I did get multiple CEL's but they were just becuase the ECU but they were all auto tranny related. You may get one or two CEL's with a max ECU but I bet they won't effect how the car runs.

Hi everyone, I just sent my ECU to technosquare. I had provided them with the info they said they needed and can now upgrade the I-35 ECU. It revoves the gov., sets red line to 7100rpm adj. air fuel mix to 12.5 all the way to red line, if you add modded exhuast or air intake it wont allow the stock ECU to send you back to stock, cant be detected so wont effect warrenty, advance timing over 3000, better gas millage, except I will probubly drive harder for a while (hehe). Once mine is done turn around time should be 3 days. I will let you know how I like it, about two weeks

There are some dyno charts on Technosquare site. Yes you do have to send your ECU to them unless you live in torrance calif or close but if you can get by for 3too5 days and like performance it will be worth it,IMHO. Yes you have to manualy shift for raised red line.

That's a waste of money to me. For a barely noticible gain (i.e. maxima dynos after the upgrade) and the fact that I have to give up my car for 3-5 days, no thank you. While I have another car (SUV) to drive, it's not convenient, and unless someone else gets some serious gains, I doubt any of their claims.

Hi everyone, The Technosquare ECU is in the I-35 with 250 miles on it. Have not found a dyno in St. Louis yet but I will keep looking. I will give my ear, nose, and butt empressions. 1. 30 mpg on hwy. 110 miles at 60 to 65 mph. About 24.5 city and county. 2.Driveability: this is subtle, smoother excelaration, between 1500 rpm and 2500rpm it used to feel like it needed to be coaxed, like more throttle than needed. 3. From 2500 rpm especially between 3 and 4 grand it pulls hard but at 4 grand something kicks in and wow! not quiet like a downshift, maybe like a shot of high octain all the way to 6700 or 6900 rpm when I manually shifted the auto. First gear happenes so fast to 6900 rpm it made me nervous so the six times I did this were between 2nd and 3rd. You are going 90 something by then and in Met. St. Louis Co. they will hammer you so I shut down. I will recheck that figure to be sure. I know this is not a dyno but the kick at 4 grand is to strong to be my imagination. Hope this helps with your questions. I will keep posting my impressions as I get more miles and when I find a dyno and a 1/4 mile run I will post that to. Also, after I put the y-pipe,catback exhuast, and CAI I had to reset my ECU about every 10 days because the stock ECU would try to get back to factory settings. The car would smell rich. I don't have to reset anymore and the rich smell is gone. It does not sound labored in lower rpms like it did before the reflash Like I said ear, nose, and butt dyno (less expensive)

02 and 03 I35 and maxima ECU upgrade
Just an update. I have over 500 miles now and what I said in my last post holds true except the 90 plus shift too third, it is 80 plus. Gas mi. is def. better as is power. Technosquare has done well by us. Let me know what you think!
