Infiniti J30 suspension and parts
Hi guys,
Can someone please explain the difference between the I30 and the J30 to me?
I am pretty sure that in terms of suspension and chassis, the I30 is the same as the Maxima (correct me if I'm wrong). But I need to know if the same holds true for a J30.
Thanks.

The I30 is FWD and is the Nissan Cefiro in Japan.
The J30 is RWD and is the Nissan Leopard in Japan.
The I30 has a VQ motor where as the J30 has a VG (I think). In any case, I know it has the same motor as the z32 300zx (normally aspirated version).

I also believe that the M30 was RWD and had the VG30DE engine as well when it came to the states. However, the Nissan Leopard was a turbo RB25 or RB20. . can't remember.. .

Both of yall are kinda correct......the J30(which came out in late 1992 as a 93 model) has the VG30DE, which is based the z32 chassis, while the M30 has the VG30E and is based the Z31 chassis. Both are RWD.

I'll let him know that there's no option of sharing.

M30 has a single cam V6 (VG30E)
F31 leopards had dual cam VG30S (VG30DE)
F30 leopards have L20, L28, and Z18 and VG30ET
infiniti J30 in japan is called leopard j ferrie or a Y32. Some models of Y32 also had a V8 (VH41)
