How often are we suppose to replace the fuel filter?

I can not for the life of me find it anywhere in the manual or on the net. I just got an '03 I35 w/ 28,000 miles on it and need to know if it needs to be replaced. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Coming to changing fuel filter, can we do it ourselves?

I'm sure we can. If it is anything like my old (92)300Z then it should take 30 seconds. If it's anything like my Eclipse GST, then it should take an hour.

20-30k? I have 140k on mine and never changed it. I beleive most manuals call for 60k replacement--but you will know when it starts to plugs up--then change it. If you are doing preventitive maintenence--it will probably cost you $20 and 30 minutes to change it. Looks easy enough--right on the firewall with one hose in and one hose out.

The hardest part of changing the fuel filter is getting down there! I didn't have a lift when I did mine...just changed it in the parking lot. Just make sure you install it correctly when you do it (in flow/out flow). You're good until at least 60k. I didn't change mine until 90k.
