my tranny busted . i was waiting at a stoplight. the light turned green. i pushed the gas pedal a lil bit. the car stood still. the engine revved up. all of a sudden i felt a jerk and the car started moving. now i have no reverse and my 96 i30 auto with 130k miles is in the shop. the estimate was 1,500 if i get a used tranny installed. son of a ***** i need the car now the most and it ****ing breaks. i have been very good to this car. regular checkups and fluids. ive only done maybe 3 neutral drops at most in the entire year i had this car and i havent done any in the past couple months. im ****ed now. infiniti's are supposed to be GOOD cars. not ****ing have the tranny bust on me when i need the car the most.

 

Sorry to hear about that man. Happened to my SAAB at about 130k... Well... I still had reverse. My tranny is just slipping. Dont feel too bad, I was quoted $4500 to replace mine. But something good came out of it... I got my Infiniti.

Hmmm... they ARE good cars!!! What the hell do you expect!!! You did THREE TRANNY DROPS!! I would not call that being very good to the car

Those drops are what destroyed your clutch packs inside the transmission!! And that is why you have no reverse gear!!

 

hey you werent on weaver lake rd or elm creek blvd were you? that would suck **** to be in front of all those people and have your car die. btw im in the same city and i havent seen any modded i30s around here.
