Should I paint my wheels? Which color? *pic of my wheels inside*

When I bought this car back in April, everyone was very impressed with the car except pretty much everyone said the wheels are ugly. Not only is the design ugly, but the wheels suffer from some slight road rash/wear. I read the 4th DIY for painting wheels and I'm interested in painting my wheels now.

Questions:

1. The DIY talks about using aircraft paint remover... since my wheels are aluminum / alloy, I'm assuming I don't need to remove any paint.

2. Because my wheels are aluminum/alloy, will painting them still work?

3. What color would look best with my pearl white car? On Duplicolor's website it lists Bronze, Black, Graphite, White, and Silver. I wish there was a chrome or something, but I'm assuming that Silver is going to be the best bet with a white car. What are your opinions?

You will still want to strip the clearcoat before painting.

Yes, you can paint the aluminum/alloy. The Honda guys who first used this painting method did it on alloy rims.

I woudl say gunmetal, but I like dark colors on dark cars.

On a side note- before you go to the trouble of painting your OEM rims, would you be interested in buying a set of pristine I30T rims? You could reuse the same tires, but these rims look a lot better, and are lighter.

Let me know. I have pics if you are interested.

LOL!

I did not see the other thread. I don't want to get in a price war w/ you, so I already (10 min ago) had sent him an offer on mine. I don't need to sell mine, so I was just offering them up to him. Looks like great minds think alike.

Which auction was it? Send me a link- and Congrats!

BTW, Colossus- sorry to have hijacked your thread!
