MY car didn't come with a remote. Guess the other person lost it. The dealer says I have to buy a brand new one, something to do with the FCC. In other words I can't come in there with my buddy's extra G35 Infiniti remote and just reprogram it. I found that strange, cause I did with the MAxima. Are they full of it or what? And if so, anyone wanna sell me your extra remote?

 

If the remotes are compatible (same for the G as it is for the I35), it should be reprogrammable.

Try calling another dealer.

 

i bought myself a second remote on ebay and i had to make sure that my FCC# and P/N# were the same as my original remote. I don't think FFC# are dedicated by the year of the vehicle....like all 2000 I30 will not be programable with with one particular FCC#. hope that makes sense.
gather all your maxima/infititi friends and try to program their remotes to your car. the one that works will have the right FCC#
