oxygen sensors & plugs

how many oxygen sensors does a 2000 I30 have? if more than one, should they all be changed at once?
Also, I'm looking for long lasting performance, should I install copper or platinum spark plugs? I always thought that copper was a better conductor, but I keep hearing about platinum being a better technology?
Any input would help, thanks.

If you change the plugs yourself then go with coppers, if your paying to have it done then go with plats.

Copper is a better conductor of electricity, but Platinum will last longer, therefore being able to leave them in there for 60k or 100k depending on your year.

Go with what makes you happy, Copper will be cheaper but you'll have to change it probably 12k or 30k depending on how your driving goes...

JUST REMEMBER to put in some Anti-sieze in yoru plugs....someone forgot to tell me and the plugs siezed....no joke!

I switched from NGK Platinums to Denso Iridium (Reluctantly... my parts guy insisted I try them). I couldnt be happier. 30,000 miles later and the car still idles smooth and takes off without a miss.

Everyone has their opinions. Bottom line is your wallet. I wouldnt get Champion or Autolite. Stick with NGK or Denso and you will be happy. NGK is preferred over Denso by Nissan but I guess I tried something new and had good results.

I second PAREDLINE...stick with NGK's, I used Bosch and they quality control is not up to NGK's in my opinion. I had a 95 Maxima and it was running kinda funny with the Bosch...after talking to a service guy he said the same thing for some reason the engines don't like the Bosch's....I would attribute that to quality control if you ask me but then again that is my opinion.

Oh, one more thing, remember you can not gap platinum plugs, you could scratch the platinum off it.

You might want to see if you can install them yourself next time or at least learn how to do it, it isn't too bad...Better to teach a man to fish than feed him a fish!

Good luck.
