I only trust the good names... but that's just me. I wouldn't wanna throw a budget tailpipe on a classy car like the I30, those are in my opinion for Honda's...
If your not in it for the loud sound but only for design, why not just weld on a new endpipe on the stock mufler?

has no idea...but yeah...i want that deep throaty sound so yeah...i think that a deep throaty sound wouldnt be annoying to me...beside i can barely hear anything in the passenger compartment anyways....i hate the way other cars sound with the BLLLLLPPPPP!!! thats so gross...that civic nastiness....
i heard that only four cyls make that fart sound and anything higher than a 6 is throaty when a catback is applied...

You could probably get all that for the price of an hks catback, and you will have a hell of alot more horsepower.

As far as sound goes, the engine will gain an authoritarian growl with just the popcharger alone. Adding the y pipe will increase this growl even further. When I say growl I mean growl, like a beastly muscle car, not some high pitched winding noise like a Honda or Toyota. Genuine Nissan muscle.
Adding the b pipe does not add to the growl, but it does add to a more open sound to the exhaust. Pretty cool to hear the air flowing through the car like that. Keep in mind the factory muffler would still be on there to keep the exhaust quiet, almost near factory, but others would know that your exhast system sure as hell aint stock.
So many members hear have done the y and b pipes and an after market muffler, and many put the stock muffler back on. I am one of them. It is the best set up for the I30. Trust me!
The extra noise that comes from the y pipe is only present when you open that trottle, and it is only in the form of a growl! And the stock growl ain't diddly **** compared to the pop and y pipe growl.
If you say you actually want it to fart, like a man I believe, then get the muffler too! Anything that is of reputable name with give you a quality fart noise. NOT LIKE A HONDA!
If you are interested, I have a Cattman muffler that should suit you just fine for sale! I only had it on for 4 days and probably 40 miles, so it might as well be brand new. It is a direct bolt on and has a 3 inch in diameter tip. It was $350 new so I would only ask for maybe a negotable $175 shipped. I can send pics if you want. What do you think?
