beaten by a Hydratech equipped car??
my freind has a 99 i30 and i dragged him today...he killed me...apparently he has some kind of chip called hydratech or something...anyone know abt this?also...he had the K&N air filter but...i was wondering where to get the hydratech...
hmmmm, as far as the chip goes i dont know, but you can have your ecu sent out and tuned, i know that its alil expensive and generally not worth it unless you go like turbo intake and just turn everything around

"turbo intake and turn everything around"...WTF does that mean.Never heard of "hydratech" and I am 100% sure I would have if there was such a thing. Either your friend is full of **** or has no idea what he is taking about. There are two companies that will ROM tune our ECU's. Jim Wolf technologies and Techosquare.
Actually, I know he is full of **** because he has a 99 I30 which have their own special ECU. Different than any other year maxima/I30. No company has either taken the time to modify those ECU's or even know how to.

The ECU upgrade is definately worth it. Very noticeable gains without any drawbacks. It's not TOO expensive for ~$400. The Y-pipe and ECU upgrades are the best mods for our cars IMO.
And yeah, there is no ECU upgrade for 99s because their ECUs are different than previous years, so maybe he had a y-pipe or something? You can get your ECU upgraded from TechnoSquare for a reasonable price now. Check it out I'd highly recommend it if you want to make your car faster.

I read through there description and FAQ. There are way too many questions that pop into my head to even begin to post them all. I have never heard of any maxima guys using this so trying it out would be charting new territory. I would not even think about spending my money on that. It gives no real explanation of how it will increase power. Just says "alters the singal going into the computer"...could they be more vauge. Spend your money on something proven
