HID/Alarm potential problem.

Yo I got a 98 I30 and I installed a HID kit some time ago. It wasn't till the other day that the thought hit me that if my alarm goes off, then my headlights would start flashing constantly until my alarm goes off. That is really not good for my bulb nor ballast. Has anyone had this problem?

heh... i just noticed that i ans this question yest in the 4thie fourm... hmm okay u have after market alarm rite..?

when installed properly.. it by passes the factory horn and headlight flashing and flashes the lights that the aftermarket alarm is connected to... now to change this if ur aftermarket alarmin connected to headlight.. take it to who ever put in the alram.. and or i fu have the diagram for it.. or u just know how to do it.. connect the alarm to the side blinkers.. my cars headlights dont go off its the side marker/park lights that go off.. cause i put in the hid porjector and realized this prob too.. now u can also put it to the foglights or lazer gun to shoot the intruder... thats up to u.. heh... but yea jsut get it reqired any alarm installed could do it ... or u urself can do it..

PS... kingpin********* if ur is doing it too u hshould rewire

heh i noticed the caddy esclade.. (i kno i didnt spell rite ) ... once when teh alram went of flashed the HID... lights.. for about a good minute or two.. then the left side light jsut stopped working.. the alarm was very sensative to vibrations so i figure it went of constantly.. but yea dont wan thtat to happen to u...
