Small Accident Last Night (Pics)

Well I went driving in the fresh powder last night and i fishtailed into a No Parking sign. The damage is not nearly as bad as it *could* have been, THANK GOD, but I'm still pissed at myself. I don't even know why but I am just really disappointed at myself right now. Here are those pics.

They bad thing is that my dad won't let me file an insurance report because he says our insurance is already too high as it is. I'm going to go to my mechanic soon and get an estimate.

I'm getting all new tires as soon as I get this little problem fixed. I probably should have bought them a while ago.

sorry to hear, but atleast the damage doesn't look too bad... Also, your dad is probably right about the insurance decision.

I guess it might cost abt $1500 to fix this damage, hope I'm wrong and that it'd cost much less than that ...

Ouch. New quarter panel and bumper + paint could be more than $1500. Sorry man.

I backed into a brand new Yukon a couple days ago and busted out my drivers side tail light. I got real luck though, the impact was directly on my tail light. One inch higher or lower I would have had body damage.

The main reason I fishtailed is because my rear tires are nearly balled. I was doing about 10-15 miles per hour

Oh... in that case, it would be pretty easy. I had bald tires on the rear (and I mean bald as racing slicks) and decent tread on the fronts once. Needless to say I would fish tail if I took a corner too fast in the rain! After that I bit the bullet and put on some new Michelin Hydro Edge all season tires the next day.

Well I got a few quotes today. They range from 1,000-1,500. I didn't think it would hit my wallet that hard. Now I am contemplating getting it fixed totally and selling it or getting it partially fixed and keeping it.

I think I might just keep it like this for now. $1000 is a lot of money. I'd rather fix my gas leak, bad o2 sensor, and crank position sensor first.
