Long story short I just fixed some problems with an i30 (2000) and need to reset the ECU but have no clue how?

I personally have a 96 maxima and it’s not the same @ all, I went to the 5th gen maxima section and found procedures for 2002-04 and tried it but it did not work

Any ideas?

well i got an 00 i30 and ive done it desconecting the neg. cable from the batt. sometimes it has work in 20min and one time i did it overnight and it didn't work so i guess just take it outand wait like 30 min if it doesn't work try it overnight!
i've done it like 4 times already.
***CAREFUL*** the door keyhole will NOT work without the battery, so either leave a door unlocked or don't close the hood all the way or leave the rear seats folded down since the trunk key hole will open the trunk without the batt. I tried it overnight and closed the hood and locked the doors and learned that the door keyhole dont work so had to pay $50 to a locksmith!!

i30ds i have a 4th gen Maxima and the ECU reset is different, there is no screw or anything... i have done it to my maxima a bunch of times but this 2000 i30 (5th gen) is different.

I am going to try to take the batt cables off and post if it works or not

Pulling to power worked perfectly.... I took it out for about 20 min and "made sure the doors were unlocked" (thanx orlando00i30) then i hooked it back up and the light was gone...

Thanx for all your help

Bump... I tried the procedure on the 5.5 Max thread with no luck... Is the procedure the same for a 03 I35?
