Leather Seats

Does anyone know what is the best way to go about repairing leather seats. I have a 98 Infiniti and the back seats are in pretty fair condition. The front seats however, have some cracking and there is a small tear in the back part of the driver's seat. Can an upholstry shop fix this or what?

exactly, it makes what's supposed to be a luxury car look kinda bad. Hmm..... I might take it to an upholstry shop and see what they can do about it if anything. I don't wanna spend a ton of money but I want a quick fix.

Once the leather actually tears, I don't believe there is much an upholstery shop can do to the original leather. I brought mine to an upholstery shop (same issues) and he quoted me over $250 for recovering the seat. You have the options of getting a factory seat cover or vinyl seat cover usually.

As far as cracks go, you can try Leatherique which is touted as the premier leather conditioner and crack filler - I think the URL is www.leatheriqueorder.com but I'm not 100% sure. There are also places (sometimes mobile vans) that repair cracks and leather imperfections, usually by respraying. The people around here go by something like Dr. Vinyl.

I got my new leather from them and it is top notch! 10X better than cheap the original factory leather.

The stuff is pretty easy to install yourself.
