I kno the feeling. Sometimes mine kinda gets stuck, and i have to wiggle it to get it to close properly, other times, slam on the brakes, and it closes by itself. Blah, oh well, guess i'll just have to deal till i can afford a car with a real sunroof

That sunroof shade is a big POS, lots of guys have had problems with it. I need new clips on the side of mine so it will stay in the metal tracks. There is a DIY in the 4th gen stickies and Nissan does make a repair kit.

I've never had a problem with mine either. Also, I've never used the word "thingy" because it's not only gay, but really gay.

I've never had a problem with mine, but if my sunroof is closed, so is the shade.

Sounds like you need to get the clips that go on the sides

I really hate that noise it makes when you close it...that really cheap thin metal sound.

Well mine is now stuck open, anybody ever had this problem? I guess i'll have to find my hanes manual and figure out how to get this thing out and check those clips. This has gone from a distraction to just plain frustrating.

Yeah. I had this happen. It pissed me off so I broke the stupid thing.

What I should have done, and what you should do is take out the entire headliner. Then you can get the sunshade out in one piece. I think someone said there's a FAQ in the forum on how to make your own clips. Or you can get a repair kit from Nissan.

I just went to the junkyard and got a new shade.
