Please help me change my spark plugs.
Please help me change my spark plugs.
As I stated in the other "help" thread I just posted, I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to mechanic work on my car. I basically have replaced the rotors, caliper, and brake pads, but other than that I have not done anything mechanical, so I need honest help and knowledge.
I would like to replace my spark plugs because I think they have about 150K on them and I can only imagine they need to be changed. I would think I notice a nice difference after I change them?
Can someone tell me how hard it is to replace all the spark plugh on the 96 I30, WHat spark plugs I should use, what tools I will need, and what the easiest way is to go about doing this?
I truly appreciate everyone’s help with this and hope it is something that I can handle myself so I can save a lot of cash. Thanks again and have a great day!

How about this one:

I bought the plugs and was about to change them on my I30 (2000), but I decided to go buy a magnetic pickup first when I saw the firewall side of the engine. You should have better access to the firewall side though, because yours is 96.

Dr. Its really easy to change out the plugs. I skeemed through the link but it looks about right, make sure you use anti-sieze on the plug threads....that's one tip that I didn't get the first time.
