I can tell you all about how to pull that sob headliner down. (sunroof cables had to be replaced) I didn't have a rattle before or after but can probably tell you what it might be.
Just to make sure...There's an overhead maplight and a dome light. Your rattle is in the dome light (as stated), right?
I'm assuming you've pulled out the light and the dome light assembly to see if it was something simple. If not, do it. It removes with a phillips screw.
If that's not it, under the headliner, there's a wire that comes from the driver's side B pillar to the dome light. It doesn't have the best connectors holding it to the frame and some are even light adhesive and tape. That cdould be it.
Of, course in order to get to it, you're going to need to remove the headliner and that's no party.
I'll do a better write up on removing it (I gave one about a month ago or so in a thread, but it wasn't comprehensive) if you want to go after it, but for now, clean out your sunroof rails of all of the old grease and lay down some fresh stuff. Turn up the radio (if you have one) and ignore it otherwise.

i would but no radio right now. ill be like hitting stuff in my car and my frienfds are like "are you ok?" and im like "I HATE RATLLES, THEY ARE EVERYWHERE" for me the rattle noise doesnt really change position, it just like stops more so with the sunroof inside liner closed then open
Ok, so do you have a day that you can take to find it?
I'd love to tell you what it could be but honestly, there are up to 30 points of contact where a rattle you're finding could be happening. If you're punching things already, it sounds like your patience level is not very high. I strongly recommend an adjustment to patience with how you approach this repair if you really want to fix it.
There a LOT of little fasteners and clips that will futher aggrevate you in this process. (Damaging them will be evident in how everything gets re-assembled and if you break them, you'll be even more frustrated for tearing it apart in the first place.)
Just to give you a tickler of what to expect before you just fix your radio and "deal with it" here's a little sample of what you'll have to do.
Remove driver & pass sunvisors, and mounting hardware
remove rear view mirror
remove maplight & dome light assembly
remove both passenger & driver front seats. (that's right, both seats.)
Remove driver & passenger seat belt upper anchors
Remove A-pillar molding
Remove C-pillar molding
Remove all 4 oh **** handles
Remove Headliner by carefully breaking away the velcro and plastic clips that hold it to the roof and start thinking of how you're going to get it out the door.
Slowly work the headliner towards the front of the car and it will release from its clips near the back of the sunroof opening.
I should have removed my rear seat also to get it the headliner out the dirver's side passenger door but I didn't. I ended up creasing it some in the middle to bend it through but the damage isn't visible now that it's reinstalled.
Now that your headliner is out, you'll want to remove the rack system that the sunroof is on to clean it. ( I recommend purchasing the sunroof repair "Kit" from Nissan and a bottle of brake cleaner and replacing the sunroof cables while you have it apart.)
The brake cleaner will come in handy to clean up all the crap that has been building up for the past 10 years. (wear gloves, brake cleaner will rot away your skin).
While you have that stuff apart, you might as well vacuum/shampoo your carpet, turn both seats upside down and lubricate the mechanics underneath them, clean your headliner and the OS handles.
Had enough? I can give you more......(yes, there's a LOT more)
(BTW: The dealer will want about 1K to do all of this.)

wow thats soo much work, i mean i have taken my front seats out and the carpet liner to shampoo all of it that was a *****. Nah i have decent patience with this stuff, i just hate rattles and this kills the rattle for a lil while
i30 is right. I think I even used his info to do mine and it was still bad.
Not impossible though. It just takes some time and patience. At the end, you'll have a good feel for what it takes to build the interior and your rattle prob may be gone.
Organize the screws and assorted parts well for re-assembly if you do it though. I screwed up reassembly of the metal bracket that covers the sunroof motor and forgot to install the pop-up wind deflector on mine. It makes the headliner less supported near the sunroof switch, that's about it.
I have a plastic wind shade anyway so I didn't care, but still have the part lying around in the garage all the same.
