Squeeking sound

I have this wierd, high-pitched, squeeking sound...mostly when I turn to the right, or go over bumps. I had my CV replaced yesterday and that lessened the noise somewhat, but it is still present.

Do you think it is a bad bushing somewhere on the right front suspension, like the sway arm?

It sounds just like the flexing of a rusty spring.

I wonder about my struts myself.

I don't have any squeaks but I would imagine that if those little orange-ish thin bushings around the base of the springs are worn through or have moved around, if that would cause the problem....

Grease them and see what happens maybe?

that's the EXACT same problem i had. i took it to the dealer and, of course, they couldn't hear it.
well, actually, mine's not really high-pitched; more like a hollow-groan.

BTW, do you have a front-strut tower brace in your car?

ah, no. i think my noise comes from below my car (underneath the pedals) and it only happens when i'm making a right INTO a bump or when i turn my steering wheel all the way to the right (or when i make a sharp right turn).

Did you hear it at all while going straight...like when slowly going over a speed bump?

I've been having the same problem recently. When I go over bumps or when i'm turning my car to the left I hear a squeaking noise. I had my left CV boot replaced about 3 months ago. I doubt that it has anything to do with it, but just puttin it out there. I will look into the Front Strut Bearings. Thanks.

indeed... motorvate is a VERY good DIY source. You guys might want to replace the boots/bump stops and possible even the struts while you are in there.

I had my CV boot replaced last week with no change to the sound. I removed my Front Strut Tower Brace and that lessened the noise somewhat..but it is still there.

If it is not the strut mount or bearing, then the only other thing it could be are bushings in the sway bar or control arm (which are a darn-side cheaper to replace).
