2k1 I30 Foglights and What Color Temp are Stock Bulbs

i just got xenons for my headlights and when i looked at the owner's manual, it told me to go to a dealer to get my foglights changed. my question is : how many people have HIDs for their headlights but kept their foglights stock? will it look bad if i leave them stock?
i was trying to picture how this might look (bright white headlights with yellowish foglights) but my brain's not cooperating with me.
also, all the places i visit want over $80 for some of the installation/labor. i need to find better places, i guess.
i'm slowly improving the look of my car but it's taking a longer time than usual.
if i buy parts for my car, are there people that live around me willing to help me install them? please?

What Color Temp are Stock Bulbs

Sorry to piggy back onto this reply but I don't have enough posts yet to start a thread of my own.

2000 I30t with the factory HID lights.

One of the bulbs went out last week. Took it in for repair (I didn't have time to deal with it myself) and the replacement is not as "white" as the original.

Does anyone know the exact replacement part? The bulb from the dealer is $100-$125 more. The difference is minimal but I still think it looks bad.

By the way - I think the non-HID fogs look fine with the HID lights.

Thanks!

you dont have to bring it to a dealer, it just says that because you have to get on the ground and unscrew some screws. its not that hard. Just get under the front end and look around, the plastic covers are blocking acess to the light, it also helps to have a creeper. I have the Piaa Starbrights and they look really good i think, nice bright and clear.

i have aftermarket hid kits in both my fogs and headlights, they match perfectly.
i suggest id you dont want to put hid in your fogs to put piaa super plasma or spark blue,it has a bit of purple with blue like your factory hids.
my friend has a i35 and i compared the hids, unlike what most people say the aftermarket hids are BRIGHTER and im not talking about glare! the street was more lite up with my kit than the factory set! so if you want, then change the factory hid bulbs with others and buy the fog kit from the same place so they match

whoa, they look so awesome!
is there a step-by-step instruction guide on how i can do this?
i mean (haha, not to sound like a dork) but do i have to buy something to lay on top of and roll underneath my car?
i'm really bad at doing mechanical stuff i can't even change my own oil!
i think i want the front of my car to look exactly like yours, NOCturnalI30.

The reason that your bulb colors don't match is because one is new and the other one isn't HID bulbs color shift after a while so because your bulbs have different burn times the color will never quite be the same. Only thing to do is get two brand new bulbs and put them in.
