It may all be my imagination, but I'm beginning to get that impression as I post messages to both boards.

People on this board just seem a lot nicer to me.

I'm a noob in this forum; I've posted very little, but I've read and researched so much. This forum is like most others.....you have good and bad in every forum.

That said, I also seem to notice a little more maturity here in this section as well.

I think SOME people in the infiniti site are nicer and more patient than others, such as the moderator Mike D, then there are the idiot kids that post the most retarded ricy questions that **** us all off, therefore they get a hostile answer. But, i think people in the I30 forum are more apt to help someone than the busy as hell maxima forum

along with this forum, i read the general, 5th generation and other cars forums and they all seem to be very nice. or maybe i've just been lucky so far.

All I know is that there's some moderator in the 5th gen forum that needs to get smacked around. He apparently thinks that the internet is his stomping ground and must bully around the forum because he cant get **** in real life.

Other than that I have no issues with this site, short of having to make a new name because said moderator is a douche bag.

(yes Mike I figure you'll erase it)

Too new to say but as with other forums, you will get both helpful and friendly owners and some who just need a reality adjustment.

It is said that one's car is a reflection of oneself. Unlike the Maxima -- even the GLE -- the I30 brings to the table a whole host of refinements both in driver accomodations and in road manners. A refined car would tend to attract a refined buyer. I think quite a few I30 owners bought this car initially because of its luxury and safety features.

Now, of course, we spend a lot of time figuring out ways of making it a little less refined; i.e., how to blow the doors off other cars, but, still, we do so in a perfectly civilized manner.

For example, some of the ways that Max owners pimp out their wheels would seem like sheer blasphemy to I30 owners. I doubt you will see huge muffler tips or 21" spinners on an I30, for starters.

We also are a smaller group than the 4th Gen Maxes, and the smaller the group, the more congenial and closer-knit it tends to be.

Yes, there are bad apples in every bunch, but so far, the only thing that is spoiled is our cars by the way we pamper them!

BTW, the "Dr" in my handle is in honor of my Ph.D in Psychology.

I think the reason the maxima (mainly 4th gen) forum is like that is because the sheer volume of 4th gen owners; it just can't be helped. Throughout the course of the day the same old spark plug, suspension and what type of headlight bulbs to buy make their way through the first two pages quite a few times. Rightly so, sometimes, people will get annoyed... which is why they have so many blatant stickies in that forum.

Though there are quite a few good people in there, doing some very unique and innovative things. Like retrofitting projectors into stock headlight housings, and more recently a few people have put 3.5's into 4th gens etc... but the good is heavily overflowed by the repetitive mess that makes people angry, resulting in more ill tempered posts.

But there are many nice people there, I swear!

Well like Infiniti says own one an you'll understand.

I think a lot of those Maxima people are pure idiots.
While we concern ourself with quality of the ride, they
only care about lowering, speeding, and carbon fiber hoods.
We'd rather cruise around in luxury while watching them get
pulled over with their stupid lowering springs. Again one you
own an Infiniti, you'll understand.

Well that's gotta be one of the most self-concious posts I've ever seen in any forum on the .ORG; in all honesty...

If you didn't just choose to stereotype people like saying "all people who own a honda are ricers" and "all camaro drivers are hicks," then maybe you would see that is not the case. Sure, there are plenty of maxima owners who just want to go fast; that's why they all emphasize going to a TRACK.

Although there is much more information about tuning the car as it exists to perfection then simply... BUYING ASF BADASS **** CF H00D YO.

Sorry, don't mean to start a fight or anything but that kind of idiocy demands a reply.

Don't be a ****.

Well theres some truth to it, but some of us actually have taste. I'm still cruising around in luxury. I got pretty much every option on my car (Leather, TCS, Sunroof, Heated seats, Immobilizer system, etc), it doesnt make it less luxury because it's a maxima. I bet I have more options on my car than 1/2 the I30s on this board.

I still keep the luxury look going too....

^^^ LoL

now while there are quite a few nice maximas on these boards, the sheer volume of alteeza and "i got pulled over for clear corners" threads is enough to make even the most patient maxima driver annoyed. Which IMO is why they are always soo hostile towards newbies, which creates an image of the entire forum as bad. They're good people here even in the 4th gen forum, you'll just have to dig past page 1 to usually find them.
