EGR valve replacement
EGR valve replacement
So I went to the stealership in Oakland today, and they quoted me at about $300 for replacing the EGR valve. This part somehow fell out of my car ('99 I30) last week, and now it's giving a putt-putt sound when accelerating, and it gets a lil loud even at idle. So you guys know if this part is easy to fix on your own? They also quoted the part for about $150 (another $150 labor). Anywhere cheap I can get this part at? Thanks guys.

You could get that egr valve for $100.31 from everythingnissan or pinnicle, and if you are somewhat mechanically inclined then replacement should be a breeze.
well i saw the hole itself when i brought it an auto shop with a free inspection. they didn't know what it was, but did pinpoint where it was. so i brought it to the dealership. the guy was actually very coo, as he jacked it up for me and i showed him where the autoshop guy pointed to. so he told me it was the egr valve and gave me the quote for the valve and labor. i just bought the valve today on everythingnissan for that price. thanks.
