a32 Cefiro headlight installation?

Anyone know where I can find some installation instructions for the a32 Cefiro headlights? I think I can manage getting them out, I am just unsure of how to splice and harness the bulbs...and what bulbs it takes. Thanks.

Those are instructions for installing them on a Max. Pretty straight forward. I used quick-deconnect connectors to connect the original wires to the H4 harness because many have had problems with getting the wiring correct (same color wires). I ran into the same issue. You can tell it's wired wrong because your high-beam light will always be on. Also, the corner lamp socket will not be a direct fit and you will have to cut a little bit to make it fit. Good luck, I'm sure you'll love the look & beam pattern once you get em in. Definately one of my favorite mods so far.

Got them installed fine, once I knew what bulbs and harness to buy. I messed up the wiring on one side and had to re-do it...but no big deal. I love the new look.

Please i need help

I've had my headlights in for two weeks and need to know how difficult it is to do this. I read the instructions for the maxima and im really scared to do this myself. How much cutting is involved and can i get the same instructions that has been passed around for the i30 instead of the maxima. Any help and suggestions would be highly appreciated.

no modification is needed for the i30, besides adapting the wire harness which is pretty straight forward.

You can even buy adapters so that you don't cut your factory wiring. Get a 9004 adapter and an H4 socket and wire those 2 together. Use them in between the OEM 9004 socket and the H4 bulb. No cutting needed. You can get the parts at a Wal-Mart.

Corner lights are a simple splice, or you can get (194?) sockets.

I spliced on Nick's car- it took 5 minutes total.

Any of you fellas have pictures of the beam pattern against a light colored wall? I'm curious to see the sharpness of the vertical beam cutoff.

Thanks
Al

Hey, I'm new to the forums and can't start a new topic yet.

I am also having some trouble installing the cefrio headlights in my 96 I30. Ive looked at that link but im still pretty confused.

I see that the cefiro corner plug is larger then the stock one, also you cant just put the stock corner bulb/socket into the hole because its got 3 knotches rather then 4 on the cefiro. So how do I splice? this to get it to work.

As for the headlight, does it connect w/ the metal clip behind the rubber or what? And is the connector thing next to the main bulb for running lights or what.

Im really confused here and could use some direction. Thanks for ANY help!

14. Next you want to splice the H4 harness into your existing harness. To do this, it’s easiest to reconnect the ground, and while using a voltmeter, test which wires run which with the lights on. (Black will be ground).

15. Next splice the city lights into the side markers. You may need some extra wire handy to do this

16. Next you will need to convert the parking lamp socket to work on the 1157 Harness. Line up the large tab on the harness with the large notch on the corner housing on the Cefiro. Make note of which notches need to be enlarged to fit the socket in. Take a dremel with a grinding bit (or exacto knife) and grind out the notch(s) until you can fit the socket in place. Once this is done, you can install the bulb and socket.

These are the steps I need help with.

You have to cut your existing wiring harness and splice the wires with the harness for the new lights. OR, you can buy adapters so that you don't cut your factory wiring. All you have to do is match the 12+, 12V-, and a third wire.

Talk to "SYCEFIRO"

Look up 95maxrider. His CarDomain page has pics of a set that I installed for him. If you cannot find his CarDomain page, he is in my friends list on my CarDomain page.
