ATTN: Sycefiro wood/leather steering wheel

I know I've seen wood leather steering wheels for the '99 i30s.. My leather is starting to disintegrate, wondering if you might be able to obtain one and the price.

Thanks

Ebay you can get 'em around that price. From dealer would be about $700-$800ish.. call to check.

What color is your interior? Email me for more detail.
Thanks

Simon,

Would it be possible to convert a 96-97 i30/ 95-96 max steering wheel set up to the 98-99 i30/ 97-99 max set up? That would be the only way that I could use the limited wood/ leather wheels you have.

I did a search, but didnt really find any concrete thread that showed that this can be done with ease.

Looking at the components involved, I would need the wheel and the air bag module (which I think includes the cover) at least. I think the cruise controls are part of the wheel also. However, those controls on the 98-99 i30/ 97-99 max are different so I am wondering if the 96-97 i30/ 95-96 max connector would plug in or if it is different.

I need something as ever since I got this car, there was a wear spot on the leather wheel, which continued to grow into a large hole. So, a little over a year ago, I cut the leather wrapping off with a knife. I dont want to get one of those aftermarket covers or replacement wraps as they do not go up the spokes and will look like ****.

Would you be open to paint your Existing AirBag to Black color? If that's NOT a big deal for you to do so, then I may be able to get you one for your car by X-mas.... (Still owe another member here his woodtrim.. and he paid for it.. so his is going to be here around November...). And the earliest I can get you yours maybe around Mid or Late December..

That would be the cheapest way to do it.. without having to chaning anything else other then the steering wheel itself.... But if you want to get the Airbag too.. then I will work something out and do some research for ya!

Email me.. and I'll give you my cellphone# so we can look into different options!

I dont know about painting it black, as the paint will probably just flake off. I really like the other steering wheel and air bag style. I do want the black wheel, air bag, and column trim though... just like all the 98+ t package had black wheel and shifter regardless of interior color.

I'll email you.

That's exactly what I am talking 'bout. Plenty of STi Owners have painted their Silver Airbags to Black. And the vinyl dye are available in Summit Racing.
