To all the A33 owners,

Can you please confirm whether all 2000+ I30/I35 keys are chipped? Or is that feature only applicable to one's with extra security options?

I have a 2000 I30 and when I bought it, it came with only one key.

So I went to the dealer to get a spare key made, it cost me about $160 or something like that. I was surprised and asked them why so much...they said because it has a chip in it.

All the 2k+ I30's came with the chipped keys, and I believe the Maxes did too.

starting from 99 all Maxima/I30 had keys with the chips im still waiting on my second key from where i got mine

Yup, my 2001 I30T came with two keys, both chipped
