I'm looking to replace my tires for the winter and was looking for a set of Goodyear assurance tripletred that were only available in 225/55/17. Since the stockers are 215/55/17, will these rub? Anybody have any experiences running this size and the tripletred tires in general?

 

According to http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html 225/55/17 are only .4" taller in overall diameter. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't rub, especially considering people use 235/50/17 without rubbing.

 

i have 225/xx(forget, i think 45)/17 tires on my 17x7 wheels...have had no problems for 2 years.
