Ok, that is a huge difference. Did you happen to do the foglight rewire with the HID fogs? That would be pimp. When I get my fogs in today, I will go ahead and buy the 3000k HID kit from someone, and then do the fog rewire setup. OMG OMG OMG OMG

they look great. now all you need is to do what i did. screw around with the aiming of the beam, mis-align the whole thing, get pulled over by the cops, get a ticket, crawl back under car and re-adjust everyting.

Haha... How high did you aim your fogs?

Nocturnal, Your HID kit looks great! I think I'm gunna have to jump on the wagon here too.

Lee, I think Umnitza sells the Helios H3 kits, and Matt just sent me an email stating that they are having a sale for the holidays. You may want to check out their prices.

The cap is that covers the H3 bulb, on the regular 5th gen foglight, they had to cut a hole in the cap to run the wires to the bulb.

The adjustment screw is next to the H3 bulb cover/cap. At least on my car it is white.

on the passenger side, look to the left of the lamp(from the back of the lamp), you will see a screw in the top, left side. turning it clockwise raises the beam, counter-clockwise lowers the beam.

There's two screws on your fog. One is to remove the fog, the other to aim it. If I remember correctly the screw that's on the back of the foglight is the aiming screw. The removal screw is on the bottom of the foglight.

Hey guys Ive got one thing to tell you. I actually wired it differently then on the stickies in the 5th gen forums. Since we have a corner light i had actually wired the forlight relay to that relay. it wasnt hard. Only reason why (and i hope this explains this) is because when i had them wired to my corners. my hids would blink whenever i would lock and unlock my car with the alarm. but when i hooked it up to the corners it doesnt do that. and when the car starts the hids turn on as well.( i leave my headlights and foglights on all the time even during the daytime, personal prefrence) it works great and since its hooked up to a relay i donthave to worry about anything gettin tooo little power or whatever. if anyone wants detailed pics ill take some tommorow and some shots with only my fogs and corners

If you wired your fogs to the cornering light wouldn't that mean the your fog would only come on when you use your turn signal? Or did you mean that you wired to your side marker?

No not to my side marker. Ok ill try to explain this....you know where the relay for the foglight is correct......well what i did was connect the wire to the relay to activates it to the main power from the corner light. Surprisingly my corner still works andd i still get to have power to my fogs. even when my headlights are turned off. they are totaly on a serperate power sorce technically now. All i really did was give it an Ignition instead of a constant. like i said ill give pics to clearify it if anyone wants to use this instead of the corner. only reason why i did it this way was so whenever i would hit my alarm pad and lock or unlock it it would flicker my new hid fogs on and off and cause it to burn out ya know.

I just wired mine to the city lights (which I leave on unless I turn the headlights on), so my fogs a pretty much always on weather I have my city light or headlights on. And I can turn them on or off with the fog light switch whenever I want.
