Anyone tinted sunroof?

I just got a used I35 black where I like it a lot.
The car came with 20% tint all around and it looks sharp.
Although sunroof doesn't seem to have any tint either factory nor film.
Has anyone done tint to the sunroof?

I didn't do mine, since you can pull the opaque shade over it.

the shop didn't want to do mine, something about you have to be able to bust the window in case you need to escape that way if you're underwater or the doors can't open if you're in a crash. i dunno. i tinted it myself anyway, 5%. i had the front window tinted, but having glucoma and driving at night with tinted windows is not a really good idea.

I have my sunroof tinted as well. I usually keep the screen closed though when the sunroof is not open.

The guys at my tint place said its impossible to tint the glass becuase when they heat it up to the glue set the window would possibly shatter so they didnt want to risk it. owell i still got 5 percent all the way around and 20 on the windsheild

That is weird! They should not have to heat up the window in order to tint it. The glue will set without heating it up (I used to tint windows back in the day), the other thing is that since most of us in this thread have either tinted or had our sunroof tinted, it IS possible despite what the guys at your tint place said, so you may not want to use those guys again. lol

In any case, I am glad you got your car tinted and are happy with it.

You should have asked them what you'd do in a car with NO sunroof, lol.
Anywho, my sunroof was tinted from the factory.

I've heard people say that the tint will trap extra heat in the glass and run the risk of breaking it, but I doubt if that would or ever has happened.

Mine came with like a 50% tint which I like because it still lets light in if you have the shade open. I keep the shade closed most of the time anyway though.

You have glaucoma Kings? How old are you, if you dont mind my asking? I used to work for a medical instruments company who developed an instrument for early detection, so this interests me.
