Looking To Buy CAI

i'm looking to buy a cold air intake but i'm on a tight budget.
is the first one on this page http://www.berktechnology.com/intakes.html (Nissan Maxima 2000-03 Intake Kit for $119.95) my best option?
just in case the link doesn't work, it comes with :

1. Genuine K&N air filter large enough to support 4.8L
2. Polished 6061 aluminum intake midpipe.
3. Polished 6061 aluminum MAF (mass air flow) sensor adaptor.
4. Thermal Flex Double walled, nylon reinforced, high temperature silicone hose, custom made exclusively for Berk Technology. (Red, blue, or black)
5. Powder coated support bracket.
6. Tridon marine grade stainless steel hardware.
7. Detailed illustrated instructions.

it should fit my '01 I30, right?
maybe someone can suggest a cheaper but good CAI. i'm not really interested in gains (although, it'd be nice); i'm more interested in the sound (i know i can't choose the sound, but i want something more aggressive like an M3 or S4 sound).
thanks in advance for the input.

If you dont really care about the bling factor either, I would suggest that you just do the GAB, or port your stock airbox. It'll give you a little extra top-end and sound pretty good while doing it. Best of all it's free!

Just check the stickies in the 5th gen forum. There are a few different ways you can do it. I chose the coat hange method (and modified it a bit) so i could easily switch back to stock... Unfortunitely the stock filter holder was tossed and they're like $40-$50 for a new one. Ill just put that money towards my PR CAI this summer

BTW, none of those are actually "CAI's". They would be concidered warm air intakes or WAI. Only true CAI for our cars is the Place Racing or Cattman CAI because thay actually draw air from outside the engine bay... But those are considerably more expensive.

And yes that Berk will fit.

If you are not worried about returning your airbox to stock, you can hack part of the filter holder off to get the same effect as the coathanger, plus it will hold the filter MUCH better. Also, sorry to bust anyones bubble, but Place Racing is no longer in business so the only place to get those or the Cattman (which was also made by Place Racing) is from the classified forums.

If you use the stock Nissan filter it fits much better with the coathanger.

There are many different ways to do the GAB... You could even just cut holes in the airbox in front of the filter. Anything that makes a more direct path for the air.

Yes place racing does not make them anymore and Cattman is the same thing... Hence the PR/Cattman comment. Also you can call Cattman directly. You dont have to get it from the GD section.
