It is pretty easy just take the whole panel out and two clear plastic covers hold the bulbs in place with a screw on each side of both. I took my plate off to make it easier to work on but it doesn't take that long, 194 bulbs if I remember right.

I am tryin to replace my bulb on my '97 i30 but the screws are very old and worn. I can't get the screws out, what should I do? Or is there a website where I can purchase the light bulb holder?

I bought the new bracket and both light assemblies with new hardware from courtesy nissan. The bracket was one price and came with SS hadware and the light kit was seperate and had both lights, and finished with a new pigtail for your harness. I think the whole thing was 50 or 60 shipped. If you look at your bracket, I bet it is rusted and soft as puppy sh^t

I just replaced the bulb (one of two) for my rear license plate. I took off the license plate to make access easier. One of the two screws was well rusted (I live in the Northeast), however after squirting some release spray, and by holding the top of the socket, I was able to extert enough pressure to get the screw out. One of the two clips for the screws is missing, so I have to find that at a hardware store. The replacement bulb I found at Advance Auto Parts for about $5 for two bulbs (Sylvania 168LL). After some wiggling in the socket, the new bulb worked. Hope this helps - good luck.
