Wheel adjustment on I35

Guys,

I want to buy I35 but the problem is I am very tall and I have difficulty in applying the brake padle as my knee touches the wheel. I had Maxima 94 before which was OK but found the whell tilt adjustment on I35 is very poor. Do you know if that tilt can be adjusted (or modified), so the wheel goes more up?
Please advise.

That would be some custom work. You might search the 5th gen forum as well. At 5'-11'', I JUST fit my I35. I don't have the seat all the way back, but the knees and arm length would be a problem if I were any taller.

Thanks, I am 6'-5" and my legs are at least 36+. The problem is with knees hitting the wheel.

It would be a lot easier to just move the slides of the seat back.

If the I35 is not comfortable for you, I would highly suggest a car with tilt AND telescoping wheel, such as th G35. It makes a big difference for those who sit farther back in position.

Grow longer monkey arms and slide the seat back! hehe j/k ok seriously, here's some things you can do according to post before me and my ideas:
1.Slide seat back.. your arms may strech but that may not be so bad
2.lower the seat(i think the i35 comes with at least 8 way)
3.buy a car with tilt tele and side seat back
4.wear sandals/slippers and drive w/o ur shoes on like I do

I'm 6"5' myself and simply sit very far back in my seat. It's quite comfortable for me, but I may have shorter legs

I have no idea how you guys fit in this car. I'm 5'10 and I sit with the seat almost all the way back on the slides, maybe 1" or .5" from the back. And I put my seat all the way down so the top of my hair doesnt touch the cieling

Sounds like you are driving with a ghetto lean....jk!!!

I am 6'1 and 180lbs, my seat has one inch to go in the back, set to the lowest, and my back support at a 60 degree angle. I fit comfortably and makes me planted in the seat.

I dont know what angle I sit at but I sit pretty upright, which is prob why my hair hits the ceiling if I dont have the seat low

Guys,
Thanks for your ideas. Do you think it easy to move the slides back. I was trying to do it once on Camry and had difficulty doing it.

Are you taking about mounting the seat further back or modifying the rails to mover back further? Can you still reach the wheel?

I think I would be able to reach the wheel. I thought it could be easier to move rails vs the seat, what do you think? I probably need another inch or so to drop the knee down. So, if we are talking about rails, do you think it is doable?
