starter motor trouble

Hi, I have some trouble with my starter motor. Tonight I wanted to get home, and the car wouldn't start, so I hitted the bendex a few times. Seems I missed also....

IT wouldn't start anymore so I wanted to replace my brushes and clean + lubricate my bendex. Now when I hitted my bendex, it seems I'v overshot and accidentely hit my magneto housign of the starter, in wich the anchre sits. One of the magents in the housing is cracked now and a little piece is broken of (not much). Is my starter motor now ****ed, or is a little crack not a problem? The magnet itself is still in place, only a small crack in the midle and a verry verry little piece out of 1 of the magnets.

IF this is bad, can I order this magnet house saperatly, and if so, what is the partnumber?

Please, somebody help me. I need to get the car to a show on thursday, so time is ticking out on me...

If time is running out, why don't you buy rebuilt starter from a parts store and be done with it? It will take only 15 minutes to replace.

not so easy / cheap to do in the Netherlands.
if you hit a magnet with a hammer, you run the risk of changing the magnets properties.

Busted drivers mirror,
rust by the gas door, water in the tailights (I think I fixed that), water in the fog lights, scratches in the paint and other blemishes.
I think it's gonna get maaco'd just so it looks more presentable up close.

They don't have parts stores in Europe... Or even the Nissan dealer where he bought the car.

yeah..if you are able to get a rebuild starter, it seriously doesn't take long at all. i got one from autozone for $120, replaced it, then returned my old one to get the core charge back.

Because a rebuild starter around here costs like $220... that's an exchange unit!!!

Replacing brushes is a 30 minute job for me, that includes taking it out, replacing brushes, cleaning it and putting it back in the car.

Changed my brushes yesterday, the broken magnet was no problem. So I'm happy since it only cost me arround $33 (31,05 euro's for the brushes).
