I think the alternator needs replacing in my 00 i30t, getting the battery warning light, changed the battery, but it drains and doesn't recharge.

What other models/years uses the same althernator? So I can go look for a used one in good condition. 95-01 Maximas/i30? What else? Thanks.

Same thing happened to my 00 I30t. I replaced my alternator twice. Your alternator should be the same as the 00 Max, but I would double check with the stealership first.

Double check on the alternator actually (whether the same as Maxima).

Don't know if this applies on the I30, but the I35 has a higher amperage alternator than that of the equivalent year Maxima, so it might be worth double-checking.

Good advice Meta.

The funny thing was, when I changed my alternator on my car I forgot to plug in the alternator harness back into the alternator because it was behind a bolt. My battery died again until I plugged the harness back in. I felt like such a dumb A$$.

K thanks guys. Any advice on how to remove the alternator? Looks like I need to take out the a/c compressor first in order to get to it.

That's exactly what I had to do. It made it a lot easier for me. Hope this helps.
